Description:


Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Carrier Operations Coordinator supports carrier relationship management and coordination between AGIA teams and insurance carriers. This role is responsible for coordinating discussions on contract amendments, reporting, remediation projects, and process improvements. 


 Essential Job Functions


Liaison between internal AGIA internal departments and Carriers 

A. Follow single point of contact (SPOC) procedures

B. Point of Escalation for internal AGIA and with Carriers

C. Manage and drive assigned projects to completion. This includes project tracking, status reports, and escalation.


2. Serve as AGIA’s carrier point of contact 

A. New Requirements 

1. Reporting –

     (1) Point of Contact for recurring reporting 

          (a) Push for automation

          (b) Inventory and maintain tracking for all reports.

     (2) Collaborate with Data Analytics leader for project timelines. 


2. Processes changes

     (1) Work closely with Compliance Coordinator when changes in process are received to determine if it will be handled via the  Bulletin process or a new standalone project.


B. Distribution of recurring reports

1. Work with Business Technology for the monitoring of recurring reporting jobs to ensure completion and alerts when jobs are not ran as scheduled. 

2. Push for additional controls when gaps are observed.

3. Work with Business Technology and Data Analytics to automate all manual recurring reports

     (1) Broker communications with AGIA & Carrier technical point of contact


C. Carrier audits

1. Support Carrier audit preparation and remediation

2. Coordinate with Compliance specialist and Carrier contact for process creation and improvement.

3. Compile and summarize audit findings for review by leadership 

4. Collaborate with Compliance Specialist to analyze audit findings

     (1) Identify and report on trends 

     (2) Lead Carrier and AGIA requirements discussions.

     (3) Coordinate with process owners to identify root causes

     (4) Facilitate process improvement projects and control measures to reduce and eliminate future findings.


3. Carrier Agreements 

A. Log all received requested changes

B. Work closely with impacted applicable areas to review and validate the changes.

C. When applicable, work with DOXA legal for review

D. Obtain required signatures

E. Follow archiving procedures into Contract Repository


4. Process Improvement 

A. Facilitate recurring carrier meetings

B. Maintain escalated and open items log

C. Work with other depts to gather carrier trends to ensure alignment or improvement where possible.

Requirements


Required Knowledge:


Knowledge of life and health supplemental insurance products, insurance operations, policy administration systems, regulatory reporting and overall audit processes. 

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, plus active listening. 

 

Skills/Abilities:


Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders outside of direct reporting lines.

Strong organization skills particularly in balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and stakeholder expectations.

Excellent time management skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities and   deliver high-quality results under deadlines.

Experience in coordinating operational process improvement projects across teams and   tracking project impact.

Relevant past experience including minimum 3+ years of coordination of cross-functional projects

Preferred prior experience in the life and health insurance industry or business experience   with an emphasis on account management or business development within financial services, insurance or a related regulated industry would be desirable.

Insurance Industry coursework or certifications (i.e. LOMA, AHIP) are a plus.  

 

Travel:

5% domestic travel.

      

Work Schedule:

Regular office schedule.

$70,000-$90,000 salary
