Description

We are recruiting a hands-on Nurse Manager who can lead from the floor while ensuring AAAHC accreditation and New York State DOH compliance at the highest level.

The Role

This is a working Nurse Manager position combining:

Direct patient care (pre-op, intra-op, PACU as needed)

Day-to-day clinical leadership of nursing staff

Full ownership of regulatory compliance and survey readiness

You will be the operational backbone of the ASC, ensuring both exceptional patient outcomes and flawless regulatory performance.

Core Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership (Working Manager)

Function as a floor-based RN alongside your team (not office-bound)

Supervise and coordinate pre-op, OR, and PACU nursing workflows

Maintain case flow efficiency, patient safety, and staffing optimization

Serve as clinical escalation point for complex cases

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

Lead and maintain AAAHC accreditation readiness (v43 standards)

Ensure full compliance with New York State Department of Health (DOH) requirements for ASCs

Own policies, procedures, and documentation systems

Conduct internal audits, mock surveys, and corrective action plans

Interface directly with surveyors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies

Quality & Performance

Drive QAPI program execution

Monitor and improve infection control, patient safety metrics, and clinical outcomes

Ensure documentation integrity and defensibility

Requirements

Qualifications

RN (BSN preferred)

ASC, OR, or surgical services leadership experience strongly preferred


Demonstrated experience with:

AAAHC accreditation (highly preferred)

NY DOH regulatory compliance

Ability to operate as a true working manager (scrubs-on leadership)

Strong command of:

Clinical workflows

Survey readiness

Policy development and enforcement


Compensation (NY Market Competitive)

Base Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience)

Performance Bonus: $10,000 – tied to:

Survey outcomes

Operational efficiency

Quality metrics
