Working out of your home, you will be leading and supporting a team of Service Technicians in the Madison, WI area. The Service Supervisor is provided a company truck, competitive compensation, and excellent benefits package including vacation, sick time, medical insurance, and a 401k retirement plan.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Service Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of a pest control technician team. The ideal candidate is an energetic, results-driven professional who is excited to lead a team that fosters quality, development, and growth. We train you on the technical aspects of the job. No pest control experience is required just a passion for leading and inspiring a team!
Essential Job Duties:
- Monitor and manage a service team
- Participate in and lead the growth of the area
- Define sales goals and oversee the results
- Participate and lead setups of large accounts
- Promote quality in pest control by adherence to standards for self and technicians
- Identify the need for pest control technique training
- Troubleshoot and work with technicians to improve service
- Provide training to new technicians and continuous training to existing technicians
- Coach and counsel technicians
- Monitor and manage relationships with key customers
- Promote a safety culture by adhering to OSHA, state requirements, and Plunketts' policies and procedures
- Review and analyze reports to optimize routes and technicians' productivity
- Monitors and evaluates all costs incurred within the area; such as for labor, materials, supplies, and vehicles
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients using excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong organization ability and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read, legibly speak, and understand English; must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and Plunkett's employees
- Exceptional client service skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proficiency with computers and mobile devices
- The ability to work extended hours and some weekends
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- The ability to pass state pest control licensing exams
- Physical capability assessment, favorable drug test, and acceptable background record are also required
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience working in the pest control industry
- Experience working with minimum supervision; able to problem solve and keep detailed records
- Six months experience in route management, route sales, customer service, sales or account management position
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Communicates through telephone conversations, face-to-face interactions, texts and email
- Lift/push/pull 25lbs-50lbs regularly; some routes may occasionally require lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100lbs
- Extensive bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, climbing a ladder, working in confined spaces, walking for long periods, and sitting for long periods
- Utilize application equipment (spray guns and bottles, hoses etc.), inspection equipment, and small hand tools
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions; indoors and outdoors during seasonal weather, damp locations, and dusty locations
