This position is for a Technical Services Manager that has a strong passion for the emergency responder industry. The person in this position oversees the needs and professional growth of Service Technicians, as well as the needs of customers. This position includes regular contact with customers and consistent effective communication with Service Technician team members. The successful candidate will be expected to represent the Company and our manufacturers in a neat, orderly and professional manner.
The territories for this position cover: Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Alaska. In order to be considered for this role, you must reside in Washington or Oregon or be able to relocate to one of these territories.
Travel Requirements: Up to 50% to work with Service Technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead team of Service Technicians to achieve financial goals.
- 50% or greater time working with field service technicians
- Hiring, training, and managing service team staff in best customer service practices.
- Directs staff responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of customer equipment.
- Providing customers and service team with product information and availability.
- Delivering prompt, professional solutions for customer and service team inquiries.
- Meets immediate goals of customer and service team interaction.
- Represents the opinions and suggestions of the customers to the company for effective feedback from the customer to the company.
- Suggests improvements to the service team to higher management and staff.
- Implements improvements to the service team.
- Supervising technical operations as performed by service team members to ensure company/client targets are met.
- Coordinate, assign and track work duties to meet the requirements of the company and clients.
- Develop policies and strategies effective for the timely resolution of critical, technical, or procedural issues.
- Ensures work operations conform to acceptable standards of quality service.
- Collaborates with management to develop and implement plans for the delivery of effective technical services.
- Oversees operational needs of service team, including: ordering parts, scheduling technicians, compiling reports, and maintaining company cars.

- Leadership skills to effectively mentor Service Technicians.

Skills Required
- Working knowledge of basic electrical theory.
- Proven ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams.
- Capable of safely lifting and operating equipment weighing 75lbs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel and Word.
Experience Required
- 3+ years of mechanical experience.
- Work history and success in the realm of Service Technician.
Experience Preferred
- Prior managerial experience.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College graduate is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manager of part of a department, including 7+ direct reports.
