Description

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • ACA Compliance  
  • Contract request/review 
  • Monthly client service call 
  • Work with Producer or SBC for who should set up 
  • Monthly Employer communication 
  • Assist with 5500 filing/reporting  
  • Audit account for consistency of definitions 
  • Billing issues 
  • Carrier inquiries 
  • Claim issues 
  • Day to day client questions 
  • Eligibility issues 
  • Plan implementation 
  • Communication of Christensen Group services 
  • Claim review 

New/Renewal/Marketing 

  • Assist with pre and post renewal meetings 
  • Renewal request 
  • Market benefit plans  
  • Understand carrier guidelines 
  • Create renewal and marketing spreadsheet results 
  • Create/order open enrollment materials 
  • Create/order new hire materials 
  • Renewal verification with carriers 
  • Renewal information to COBRA administrator (if applicable) 
  • Confirmation letters 
  • Term letters to carriers 
  • Client set up with carriers 

Revenue Growth 

  • Contribute to agency revenue goals by following established policies and procedures.  

Other Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Goal setting 
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of agency carriers, carrier/brokerage marketing and underwriting to coordinate with insurance companies to address client issues and solve client problems 
  • Demonstrate professionalism daily – appearance, approach, leadership etc. 
  • Support agency directives in effectively managing agency/carrier relationships 
  • Keep management informed of known actions, written or verbal that may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect the Company operations 
  • Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed 
  • Renewal and open enrollment meetings 
  • Attend or conduct, will vary depending on team 
Requirements

 

  • 4-year degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge of group medical, dental, disability, life, voluntary products, COBRA, ERISA, FSA, HSA, HRA plans 
  • Understand fully insured and self-insured products 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong math and Excel background) 
  • Possess thorough, organized and detailed oriented approach to work, including effective problem-solving skills with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills 
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written 
  • Willingness to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Willingness and initiative to seek out and meet department needs 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information 
  • Ability to learn and understand a variety of issues, including client and staff needs related to human resources and benefits business 
  • Resident Life and Health License 
Salary Description
$80,000 - $100,000
