We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and a love for creating delicious baked goods. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked items, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of taste and presentation. Training may require up to 4 weeks of Onsite training in New Jersey Location.
Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
Decorate cakes and other baked goods with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
Package finished products for sale while ensuring they are visually appealing and properly labeled.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in accordance with food safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Follow recipes accurately while also being open to experimenting with new flavors and techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions about products, and taking special orders when needed.
Adhere to all food handling regulations to ensure the safety and quality of all baked goods.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food production or baking is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to bake from scratch as well as follow established recipes accurately.
Experience in cake decorating is highly desirable.
Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required.
Proficient knife skills for preparing ingredients efficiently.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
