About the Role: 

Dynanet is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect/Data Engineer to support Phase 0 and early Phase 1 activities for a modern cloud based, AI enabled system. This role focuses on environment setup, ingestion pipeline design, AWS configuration, and foundational data engineering required before analytics work can begin. 

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience in cloud architecture, secure data engineering, and AI/ML integration patterns. This is a short-term contracting role designed to rapidly establish the technical foundation needed for downstream analytics, dashboards, and reporting. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

1. Architecture & Environment Setup 

  • Lead the design of the technical architecture for a cloud-based, AI enabled system 
  • Stand up AWS infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and security controls 
  • Ensure alignment with government approved technologies and FedRAMP authorized services 
  • Conduct market analysis and provide cost, performance, and risk tradeoff assessments 

2. Data Engineering & Ingestion Pipeline 

  • Build the initial email ingestion pipeline for structured/unstructured data 
  • Implement parsing, routing, and data transformation logic 
  • Create and configure the database/data store to support downstream analytics 
  • Define integration patterns for ingestion, APIs, and external systems 
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability in the ingestion workflow 

3. AI/ML & Vendor Evaluation 

  • Evaluate AI/ML vendor tools for classification, extraction, and automation 
  • Recommend government approved AI technologies and integration approaches 
  • Support selection criteria and technical feasibility assessments

4. Technical Planning 

  • Support requirements validation and technical workshops 
  • Define field level extraction requirements in collaboration with analysts 
  • Provide LOE estimates and support Phase 1 implementation planning 
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and architectural constraints 

Required Professional Skills: 

  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture or cloud/data engineering 
  • Handson experience with AWS (IAM, Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, networking, security) 
  • Experience building ingestion pipelines for structured/unstructured data 
  • Experience implementing AI/ML solutions (NLP, LLMs, classification models) 
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning, cost optimization, and risk mitigation 
  • Experience evaluating government approved technologies and FedRAMP services 

Preferred Professional Skills: 

  • Experience with federal IT environments (HHS preferred) 
  • Experience with serverless architectures 
  • Experience with secure data engineering and compliance frameworks 
  • Experience designing scalable data models

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture or cloud/data engineering 
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cloud-based systems 
  • Experience working with federal agencies and understanding federal IT policies
