Founded in 1894, The Washington Golf & Country Club (WGCC) is one of the nation's most distinguished private clubs, celebrated for its tradition of excellence, refined atmosphere, and outstanding member service. With panoramic views of the D.C. skyline and a legacy of hospitality spanning more than a century, WGCC offers an extraordinary member and guest experience- and we're looking for an energetic, reliable, and member-focused Seasonal Racquet Clinic Assistants to support our youth racquet programming throughout the summer season. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, being active outdoors, and contributing to a positive, engaging club environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist Racquets Professionals with junior tennis and/or pickleball clinics
• Help set up and break down courts, equipment, and training materials
• Provide encouragement and basic instruction under supervision
• Ensure the safety, engagement, and positive experience of all participants
• Monitor attendance and assist with clinic check-in procedures
• Maintain clean, organized courts and clinic areas
• Support special junior racquets events, camps, and tournaments as needed
• Communicate professionally with members, parents, and team members
• Uphold club standards of service, professionalism, and hospitality

Pay rate: $14.00 per hour

Part-time Seasonal

• Interest in racquet sports (tennis and/or pickleball preferred)
• Experience working with children or in camp/recreation settings preferred
• Positive attitude, energy, and enthusiasm
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow direction from Racquets Professionals
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work a flexible seasonal schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move actively for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying summer weather conditions
• Independent mobility
• This position operates primarily outdoors on racquet courts in a fast-paced, member-focused private club environment
