Description
Summary/Objective:
This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development. Contact and develop relationships with referral sources in the community and region to generate client referrals to the facility. Facilitate admissions and collaborate with Hanley Therapists to enhance referent relationships.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

- Work with the Vice President of Business Development in supporting the overall sales philosophy and strategic plan.
- Create and implement an overall targeted region sales strategy to support the sales philosophy of relationship management and new business prospecting.
- Develop and create Tier 1 referent relationships and provide updated information regarding current programs and services.
- Preparing all necessary reports as outlined by Strategic Plan.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner at civic and professional functions when requested.
- Assist the treatment teams in locating and evaluating residential aftercare facilities and continuing care programs.
- Prepare and submit all reports, expense accounts and management-requested information monthly.
- Coordinate and host referral source visitors to Hanley Foundation facility.
- It is the expectation of each Regional Outreach Director to spend a minimum of 70% of his/her time in the field on appointments.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of Hanley’s treatment programs and services.
- Participates in other Regional Outreach Directors events and education activities as assigned.
- Attends weekly referral development conference call.
- Uphold all Hanley Center Foundation Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain client/potential client confidentiality in accordance with Hanley Policy.
Requirements
Education/ Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of selling experience.
- If in recovery, one (1) year of continuous sobriety is required.
- Clinical knowledge and understanding of the 12-Step program preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proven success in direct personal selling, relationship management, and new business prospecting.
- Willingness to travel.
- Demonstrated public speaking skills.
- Proven ability to work without close supervision.
- This person should also have a working knowledge of the 12-step program.
- Proficiency in computer skills and major programs such as Word and Excel.
