About You
You are an early-career software developer with a strong interest in building user interfaces and delivering great user experiences. You enjoy turning ideas and designs into functional, intuitive applications and are motivated to grow your front-end development skills.
You are comfortable working within defined guidelines and established standards while learning how to improve and expand your capabilities. You care about writing clean, maintainable code and are developing an eye for usability, accessibility, and performance.
You enjoy working closely with others, including designers, product managers, and engineers. You are open to feedback, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Your Impact
As a Junior Software Developer, you will help build and maintain the user interface of our applications. You will work on well-defined tasks while gaining experience across development, testing, and collaboration.
Your impact will include:
- Writing, testing, and maintaining UI code that meets engineering and design standards
- Delivering simple, high-quality solutions for assigned work items
- Implementing accessible, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces with guidance
- Supporting usability, accessibility, and compatibility standards across applications
- Collaborating with product, design, and QA to understand requirements and deliver outcomes
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and pull request processes
- Managing dependencies of your own work and contributing to team deliverables
- Building a working understanding of the systems and UI architecture within your area
- Staying current with front-end technologies, tools, and best practices
You will also contribute to maintaining high-quality user experiences by helping ensure applications are performant, accessible, and aligned with UI standards.
Technical Skills
- Foundational experience in front-end development such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with modern frameworks or libraries such as Vue, React, Angular, or similar
- Basic understanding of UI and web development principles including:
- Responsive design
- Accessibility fundamentals
- Browser compatibility
- Understanding of software development practices including:
- Version control using Git
- Testing concepts and exposure to TDD
- API integration and working with backend services
- Exposure to development tools such as GitHub, VS Code, Figma, Postman, and Jira
Ways of Working
- Understanding of Agile development practices and team workflows
- Ability to execute well-defined tasks with attention to quality and detail
- Willingness to follow established processes including pull requests, code reviews, and release processes
Problem Solving and Ownership
- Ability to troubleshoot UI issues with guidance
- Attention to detail in both functionality and visual implementation
- Willingness to learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and best practices
