GP Strategies Government Solutions has an opening for a Trainer/Instructor – Project Management Courses (Part-Time).
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Trainer/Instructor to deliver engaging and effective project management training courses. This part time role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, has strong communication skills, and brings practical project management experience to the classroom. The Instructor will deliver both virtual and in person sessions, with advance notice provided for all scheduled classes. This position is remote but the person will need to travel occasionally to conduct training onsite. Travel would be in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high quality project management training in both virtual and in person formats
• Facilitate interactive learning experiences using adult learning best practices
• Prepare for each class by reviewing course materials, examples, and exercises
• Provide clear explanations of project management concepts, tools, and methodologies
• Support learners through Q&A, discussions, and practical application activities
• Review participant assignments to assess satisfactory completion
• Travel occasionally to conduct onsite training sessions
Qualifications:
• Prior experience as an Instructor, Trainer, or Facilitator
• Experience teaching or leading basic project management courses (preferred)
• Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
• Ability to explain concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of experience
• Comfortable delivering training virtually and in person
• Project management experience; certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus but not required

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.
Assignment Location – Hybrid
- Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Fingering (typing), communicating, repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
- Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
