Senior Accountant
Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by leading general ledger activities, performing complex reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process.


The Senior Accountant will take ownership of key balance sheet accounts, assist in process improvements, and serve as a resource to other team members. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and post journal entries with a high degree of accuracy
  • Own and complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including complex and high value accounts.
  • Perform and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. 
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized, audit-ready financial records
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Partner with the Controller on variance analysis and financial insights.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum four (4) years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP systems 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Work Environment

  • In-office position located at our administration building in Woodway, TX 
  • Reports directly to the Controller
  • Collaborative, team-oriented accounting environment supporting multi-location operations
