Our corporate office is located in Orange County, CA. Employees in this position are permitted to reside anywhere in the United States, provided they have reliable access to a major airport within close proximity to support business travel needs.
Position Summary
TriVista Directors lead teams that scope and deliver consulting engagements for Private Equity clients and their portfolio companies. They develop solutions to our clients’ most complex and impactful business problems with a focus on strategy, operations, and enterprise value improvement.
Directors are experienced transaction services, supply chain or operations strategy professionals who have significant operational leadership experience in multilocational companies and consulting firms, along with a track record of leading, coaching, and facilitating transformation projects at site and enterprise level.
Directors are responsible for leading project teams on a variety of assessments and execution engagements. These can include pre-sale operations due diligence, pre-close synergy analysis, and Post-Merger Integration (PMI) as well as financial and operational performance improvements to help clients optimize their businesses including supply chain, footprint, manufacturing, information technology, and other back-office operations. In this role, the Director will be working with and leading both TriVista and client teams by architecting the overall recommendation, coordinating the day-to-day management of the team, executing portions of the project, and providing all QA/QC of work including decks and excel all while keeping the customer’s needs and high-level goals of the project in mind.
TriVista’s Directors represent the image and credibility of the firm. Their roles require regular interface with clients that include Private Equity investors, boards of directors, and corporate level executive team members. Excellent spoken and written communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior client management during engagements
- Responsible for all aspects of client engagement and project execution, from leading a diagnostic phase, through the development of the planning phase and delivery of the implementation
- Accountable for the insights and quality of client engagement deliverables through effectively leading project teams to ensure exceptional performance
- Manage daily client relationships and interaction including responding quickly to emails, remediating risks and issues, and presenting check-ins and final deliverables
- Lead TriVista engagements day to day through the creation and monitoring of project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables while meeting the needs and expectations of colleagues and customers
- Drive projects to completion by overseeing, managing, assisting, or executing project activities, workstreams and/or deliverables
- Develop practical and actionable recommendations for the client while providing a strong foundation for and driving potential follow-on work
- Identify, quantify, and prioritize enterprise value improvement opportunities and solutions
- Lead project teams through data gathering and analysis and perform the technical QA of work done by the team (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Develop report content that is impactful and accurate
- Drive the development/enhancement of TriVista’s methodologies and approaches to client delivery
- Identify, quantify, and prioritize enterprise value improvement opportunities and solutions
- Provide subject matter expertise across functions
- Utilize various project management tools and best practices such as Gantt Charts, budget, risk assessment, work breakdown structures, RACI’s, etc.
- Effectively communicate TriVista tools and methodologies through the use of case studies and prior experiences
Practice Specific Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends and innovations
- Clearly communicate vision of what “state of the art” looks like in your field of expertise
- Ensure proper staffing of projects in the practice
- Proactively participate in TriVista practice development through the identification, development, and rollout of standard tools, templates, and innovative methodologies
- Support the development and execution of practice level strategy
- Maintain and develop practice level marketing material
- Lead Post-Merger Integration (PMI) projects including Day 1 readiness, post-close support
- Lead Client leadership and TriVista team members through integration strategy/approach development, integration planning team/weekly workstream cadence (e.g., Integration Management Office - IMO), current operating model assessment, integration kickoff, development of future-state operating model, and detailed integration project planning
- Able to lead operations due diligence of manufacturing sites
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of different aspects of operations
Business Development Support
- Engage in regular dialogue and communication with existing and potential customers to identify new business opportunities
- Provide insight and assessment of client business issues during business development calls with private equity clients and portfolio company executives
- Assist firm business development through the creation of work-plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments as requested
- Connect with clients during and post engagement to identify additional needs
- Support the development and presentation of proposals and engagement letters during business development activities
- Ensure proposals and engagement letters are aligned with solving clients’ complex business problems
- Engage in professional industry organizations to broaden experience and increase visibility (network)
People Development
- Build, lead, and coach teams of internal and external resources, as appropriate and as required.
- Coach and lead project teams through project engagements as well as in internal growth opportunities
- Provide frequent and authentic feedback to direct and indirect reports
- Proactively provide training to staff
- Actively participate in the performance management process
Practice/Firm Development
- Actively participate in the talent acquisition process
- Participate in thought leadership activities
- Lead internal projects that build firm capability

Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of combined experience in operations leadership positions (e.g., manufacturing, sourcing, or SIOP)
- 5+ years in multi-national senior operational leadership positions with cross-functional reporting responsibilities (e.g., operations, finance, HR, sales, engineering) and P&L responsibilities (e.g., job titles including General Manager, COO, VP of Ops)
- 3+ years of financial experience including either finance reporting into the individual or a senior financial role (e.g., Director, Vice President, Controller, or CFO) preferred
- 3+ years of consulting experience with manufacturing and distribution companies, with the ability to scope and deliver engagements across multiple service lines preferred
- Preferred industry experience in broad industrial (industrial, aerospace/defense, or automotive), or Food & Beverage
- Experienced in multi-site application of lean and Six Sigma implementations, along with general change management and operational improvement initiatives
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams required
- Experience and ownership of business financials including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow required
- Ability to track value creation initiatives to bottom line results
- Ability to collaborate across traditional business functions and understand the impact of business process changes across the organization
- Knowledge and understanding of how high performing teams operate, understand gaps and inefficiencies
- Demonstrated leadership in managing, coaching, and inspiring teams to achieve business goals and objectives
- Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue, and risk management experience, change management, planning, and analysis
- Self-motivated with high initiative and drive to complete assignments on time with exceptional quality

Education
- 4-year degree, preferably with a focus in supply chain management, finance, engineering, business, or related field and/or combination of education and relevant experience
- MBA preferred
- Lean and/or Six Sigma training preferred
Base range between $190,000-$257,499. Exact compensation may vary on skills, experience, and location.

The salary range for this position reflects our good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base pay for the role at the time of posting. The actual pay offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, location, and market conditions. For example, a candidate with the minimum required experience and qualifications may receive an offer near the lower end of the range, while a candidate with extensive experience and specialized expertise may receive an offer near the top of the range. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
