Description

Responsible for managing the day-to-day overall AV operations, sales, scheduling, forecasting and service objectives of a hotel property or venue


Responsibilities

  •  Directly supervises, coaches and mentors a minimum of two full time audio visual team members
  •  Responsibility for sales either directly or indirectly at the property, makes sales calls as needed, generates quotes and corresponds with clients and targets revenue goals
  •  Builds and maintains positive and professional relationships with hotel/venue staff, attend meetings as required
  •  Works closely with clients to ensure audio visual needs are met for a successful meeting
  •  Oversee daily floor operation including room sets/strikes
  •  Completes necessary AVMS flow sheets, billing, scheduling and inventory procedures
  •  Arrange for additional labor, services and equipment as needed
  •  Prevents inventory loss by ensuring that equipment is recovered and secured from meeting areas and stored in proper secured locations
  •  Develops and trains all AV staff at property on standards and proper procedures
  •  Operates equipment in a live show setting as needed
  •  Creates or rearranges sets to enhance clients vision
  •  Leads, performs and reinforces customer service standards to AV team
  •  Learns proper and optimal operation and troubleshooting of equipment and performs preventative maintenance of equipment as needed
  •  Follows and acts in accordance with all company rules and policies in regard to general operation of the company, including but not limited to working hours, procedures and specific company rules
  •  Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements

Professional Requirements

  •  Communicate successfully and professionally with AV staff, clients and partners
  •  Knowledge of audio visual equipment, set-up and operations
  •  Work in a timely manner and be able to multi-task
  •  Detail oriented with strong follow up and follow through skills
  •  Demonstrates good communication skills
  •  Possesses good organizational skills and the ability to adapt and function successfully in a high-
  • volume, sometimes stressful environment.
  •  Ability to work varied and changing schedule (mornings, nights & weekends included)
  •  Flexibility in accommodating a changing work schedule as necessary
  •  Reliable transportation to and from work
  •  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, networking, IT device management, PC and
  • Mac operations. Must be proficient with PowerPoint, Keynote and Internet usage.
  •  Exhibits excellent communication skills, both oral and written: is clear, concise, sincere and
  • persuasive.
  •  High degree of ownership and self-initiation skills as well as a positive professional demeanor
  •  Set an example for professional grooming and presentation standards as required by hotel
  • partner/specific worksite                                                                                                                                                                                     


  • Educational Requirements
  •  Related technical experience and/or education
  •  High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Physical Requirements
  •  This position may require a broad range of physical abilities including bending, stooping, sitting, standing and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis (additional description of physical duties available upon request)
