Camp Y-Owasco Counselor
Description

We are seeking enthusiastic Camp Counselors to join our team for an upcoming summer camp. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging campers in various activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. 


General Functions:

Under the direction of the Camp Director and Program Director, the Counselor will assist in the implementation of the day-to day operation and activities of camp. 


Responsibilities/Functions/Duties/Tasks

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervises, creates and implements camp activities.
  • Supervises program staff.
  • Ensures safety of programs.
  • Facilitate activity signups, changes and special cabin activities.
  • Acts as a resource and assists support staff with various responsibilities.
  • Substitutes for counselors when necessary.
  • Monitors staff performance and participates in evaluations.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork related to camp maintenance and ordering of supplies.
  • Assists with maintenance of campgrounds and cabins.
  • Assists with camper behavioral issues.
  • Ensures proper operation of the Camp store including cleanliness, organization and records of transactions.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education and Experience:


  • 18 years old and one year camp staff experience.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred but will train

Salary Description
$270-$360/week
