Position Summary: The Marketing and Interlibrary Loan Librarian is a full-time classified staff position that provides front-line support for the college library and Testing Center. This role assists students, faculty, and the public with library services, including circulation, interlibrary loan materials, and use of library systems. The position also supports library marketing efforts by helping design exhibits, promotional materials, and events that highlight library and Testing Center services. Additional responsibilities include producing instructional materials, evaluating technology to improve patron services, and proctoring exams while following academic testing protocols. Strong customer service, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a public-facing environment are essential.

CONTRACT TERMS: Full-Time, 12-month
LOCATION: Trenton, Missouri, Main Campus
Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- After training by Library staff, assist patrons in the use of the NCMC library and Testing Center
- Provide general information about facilities and services
- Assist in the use of the library catalog and library computer systems
- Answer patron questions
- Circulate NCMC library materials, Interlibrary Loan Materials
- Assist with marketing and events, highlighting the Library and Testing Center
- Assist with the design and preparation of exhibits showcasing library materials
- Produce handouts and instructional materials
- Participate in team evaluations of technology to improve service to our patrons
- Proctor tests in Testing Center
- Follow academic protocol in the Testing Center
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attend meetings as required

Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree preferred.
Experience: Prior library experience may be substituted for a degree. Experience working with the public and in customer service is preferred. Training will be provided for all expected duties.
Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong customer service skills. Ability to utilize interpersonal skills with faculty, students, and the public.
Physical Demands: Remain stationary for extended period of time while processing materials in and out of the library; ascending and descending stairs; Moving about between buildings on the NCMC campus; reaching, pulling, and pushing when filing; able to do repetitive tasks; remain stationary at a desk while typing and answering phones; move about the library assisting customers with questions and ensuring their needs are met.
Environmental Demands: Fluctuations while moving on tile and carpeted floors in a heated and air conditioned environment.
