Summary

The Compliance Coordinator Supports the development and implementation of compliance, policies, reporting, and practices. Monitors activities impacted by regulatory requirements. Utilizes established internal controls and auditing systems to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Assist implementation of changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Prepares and updates communication materials. Assists with training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure all compliance-oriented meetings and deadlines are met
  • Organize accreditation files and secure information by completing data backups
  • Collect and analyze results in regard to compliance and report to VP of Compliance
  • Track and report KPI’s to VP of Compliance
  • Handle special administrative projects assigned by the VP of Compliance
  • Read the original ASER and BASER and assist VP of Compliance when writing revisions
  • Assist VP of Compliance with organizing accreditation related projects and tasks
  • Assist VP of Compliance with coordinating plans called for by accreditation
  • Assist VP of Compliance during the state and federal on-site visits
  • Spot check ads, website, manuals, and catalog for compliance
  • Perform audits, analyses and monitor on completed enrollment processes and packets
  • Meet or exceed established deadlines for submission of all collected files
  • Assist VP of Compliance when conducting internal audits of student files
  • Must stay up to date with current regulations, develop programs and practices to help meet guidelines, monitor these practices and maintain all records required to certify compliance
  • Adhere to CIAT’s compliance requirements to ensure all Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures are being met
  • Follow communication guidelines to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism

Requirements
  •  Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of complained in higher education preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and interact with students, colleagues, and others
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; dedicated to quality, quantity, and timeliness of results
  • Able to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality
  • Possess high ethical standards, being an example of professionalism to others
  • Demonstrated ability anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem resolution skills and general business acumen
  • Proficient skills in MS Office software products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project and ability to      learn additional software products 
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment
  • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours to accommodate business needs and deadlines
  • Reliable transportation to go on campus, attend seminars/trainings, if required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success,      achieve institutional goals and contribute to a positive and inclusive culture
  • Flexible to work longer hours to meet deadlines, if needed
  • Must be able to embody CIAT’s mission, vision, purpose and values

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.


Location
This is a remote position. Work must be conducted in locations that have been approved by the company. Company authorization is necessary for relocation or work from other locations, even if temporarily.

  • Essential functions of this role require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to type, use a computer to search for information and input information while speaking on the phone is required.
  • The employee will frequently be required to use the computer, mouse and telephone to conduct the regular tasks of this role.
  • The employee will be required to compute simple to simple mathematical calculations as a normal part of this role.
  •  Requires daily use of a company computer and related software applications at a workstation. 

Work Environment 

While performing the responsibilities of this remote position, the job holder will work in a home office environment. Salary Range

The starting salary range for the Compliance Coordinator is $26.00 - $28.00 hourly/DOE. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, experience, equity and other business and organizational needs.
