The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. 

This role is 100% on site at our Headquarters location: 946 Quality Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.

 

Summary of the Position: The Legal and Regulatory Affairs Associate will work in a combined role to support regulatory and legal functions. Reporting to the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Manager, the Associate will work with the Legal Department Paralegal to help investigate and identify use of Nutramax brands, unauthorized resellers, and conduct extensive online searches for parties misusing and/or infringing Nutramax intellectual property. The Associate will also support the Manager in the regulatory process relating to Nutramax products to confirm the products comply will all relevant regulations and laws. 


Roles and Responsibilities:


SUPPORT BRAND PROTECTION/ADMINISTRATION:

  • Monitor use of the Nutramax brands and intellectual property online, including working with online resellers to address any issues. 
  • Monitor and report on unauthorized suppliers and sources.
  • Record and track details of product investigations.
  • Conduct initial research into suspicious items and/or websites, including social media platforms. 
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives. 
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
  • Regular onsite attendance required. 

SUPPORT REGULATORY AFFAIRS:

  • Assist Manager with all necessary regulatory filings, including state feed reports. 
  • Conduct research relating to regulatory issues that arise and conduct product regulatory analysis. Also, analyze and summarize rules and regulations impacting our business, facilitating internal communication to ensure compliance.
  • Aid in the creation and improvement of processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with review marketing materials from a regulatory standpoint. 
  • Assist with the claim review process for marketing claims. 
  • Engage effectively with other departments, demonstrating strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit within a team environment.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to meet company objectives.


Requirements

 Minimum Requirements:  

  • Computer skills, including general internet searching and familiarity with search platforms, use of online commerce and auction websites.
  • An understanding of various social media platforms.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact with all departments within the company and outside counsel.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information professionally and consistent with legal department policies.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
