Qualifications for Success
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington.
- Certifications: BLS required (ACLS is a plus).
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience is required. While urology experience is a benefit, we value nurses who are critical thinkers and fast learners.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. The RN administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients in the clinic setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assesses patient problems both in the office and on the phone, to determine disposition of patient.
- Facilitates patient care and documents all communication into the electronic medical record (EMR) .
- Communicates physician treatment plan including lab/imaging results to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions or side effects per written provider orders.
- Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepares rooms, steriles instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
- Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Instructs individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education and disease prevention. Develops health improvement programs.
- Engages in continuous learning, adjusts the application knowledge, skills and abilities while addressing new challenges as contextual realities change.
- Performs other position related duties as assigned.
- Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
- RN license and certification required by state.
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- 1-2 years previous clinical experience, urology experience preferred.
