Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Corporate Security Operations leader, is responsible for executing and managing day-to-day security operations across AdaptHealth's 650+ locations nationwide. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Security, this role ensures the safety and security of employees, patients, assets, and facilities through effective implementation of security programs, physical security systems management, and operational risk mitigation. The Security Operations Leader serves as the operational liaison between corporate security leadership and field locations, partnering with regional operations teams, facilities management, and external vendors to maintain consistent security standards and protocols that protect the organization while supporting business operations.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Security Operations Management
- Execute corporate security strategy and initiatives established by the Senior Director of Corporate Security across all AdaptHealth locations
- Implement and maintain physical security systems including access control, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and intrusion detection across multi-site operations
- Manage day-to-day security operations including vendor coordination, system maintenance, and incident response activities
- Serve as primary operational contact for regional teams on security matters, providing guidance on protocols, procedures, and best practices
- Coordinate security assessments and site inspections to ensure compliance with corporate security standards
- Deploy security policies, procedures, and standards developed by corporate security leadership to field locations
- Oversee installation, configuration, and optimization of security technology platforms across new and existing facilities
- Manage security vendor relationships including performance monitoring, service level agreement compliance, and escalation of issues
- Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives including evacuation procedures and crisis response protocols
- Facilitate security awareness training programs and educational initiatives for employees and location leadership
Incident Management & Investigations
- Lead investigation of security incidents, physical security breaches, and asset losses at field locations; prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal stakeholders during security events
- Track and analyze security incident trends; provide regular reporting to Senior Director on operational metrics and emerging risks
- Manage after-hours emergency response and serve as on-call security resource for critical incidents
- Support workplace violence prevention and threat assessment processes in collaboration with HR and Legal teams
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure field locations maintain compliance with corporate security-related healthcare regulations, OSHA requirements, Joint Commission standards, and internal policies
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and ensure corrective action implementation
- Monitor security system performance and coordinate upgrades or repairs to maintain operational effectiveness
- Maintain security documentation and records for regulatory audits, insurance requirements, and internal reporting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Facilities, IT, HR, Legal, and Operations teams to integrate physical security recommendations into facility operations, renovations, and new location openings
- Support regional and location leadership with security-related projects, concerns, and improvement opportunities
- Serve as a member of the Threat Management Team (TMT) to assess physical security risks related to internal and external threats
- Serve as liaison with security equipment vendors, installers, and service providers
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to measure security program effectiveness
- Prepare regular operational reports for Senior Director on security incidents, system performance, vendor activities, and program status
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies in security operations
- Maintains patient confidentiality and functions within the guidelines of HIPAA.
- Completes assigned compliance training and other education programs as required.
- Maintains compliance with AdaptHealth's Compliance Program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in security operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Experience in healthcare, multi-site retail, or distributed operations environment strongly preferred
- Proven track record managing security operations across multiple locations
- Hands-on experience with security technology systems including access control, CCTV, and alarm platforms
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and managing service contracts
- Corporate investigative experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of the threat assessment process when evaluating internal and external threats
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Experience developing Security Operational Procedures and Security Policies
- Capable of working multiple priorities at once
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Threat Manager (CTM), Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA)

- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
- Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed
- Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Available to be on call and/or 24/7 as needed
- Available to travel on short notice as needed
