We are looking for a full-time, experienced RN Supervisor to lead our nursing team and ensure exceptional, compassionate care for our residents. In this leadership role, you will oversee nursing staff, coordinate resident care, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, while actively supporting resident health and well-being. The ideal candidate brings senior living experience - including long-term care, assisted living, or memory support - and a genuine passion for working with older adults.
Current Shift Availability:
- 11AM - 7PM (No Weekends)
- 7PM - 7AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure accurate, timely resident care, medication administration, and documentation in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
- Provide direct resident care, including admissions, discharges, and monitoring for changes in condition; report updates to the Physician, Unit Manager, or Director of Nursing.
- Conduct nursing audits, including weekly chart reviews, monthly summaries, and other audits as assigned across Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Support units.
- Perform rounds on all care units to ensure adequate staffing, adherence to regulations, and compliance with Harbor’s Edge policies.
- Participate in care planning and family meetings as part of the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care.
- Ensure emergency equipment is functional and respond to emergency calls (E-calls) as assigned.
- Coordinate nursing services with physicians, Medical Director, residents/families, consultants, and vendors to maintain continuity of care.
- Assist in investigating incidents and complete thorough, accurate documentation as required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing experience in Assisted Living, Memory Support, or Long-Term Care, including 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Valid Adult CPR and BLS/AED certifications required.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all staff and leadership levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the public.
- Genuine passion for working with elderly and/or disabled populations.
- ISP/UAI certification preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
- Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, stair climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, kneeling, balancing, overhead reaching, and pushing/pulling.
