FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
PAY: $18.00/hr.
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Engineering
JOB LOCATION: NEW BRAUNFELS, TX
SUMMARY
This internship position will primarily be assisting and observing the project engineers in their process of project management and technical review of planning, design, and construction documents of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the collection, analysis and interpretation of engineering, operations, and maintenance data.
- Observe the review process on engineering designs, construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and other documents for technical accuracy, adherence to GBRA’s Standards and Design Guidelines, and compliance with other applicable codes.
- Provide support for Engineering-related data management, document review, and reporting tasks as assigned.
- Provide support to project managers to maintain project schedules and other administrative tasks associated with project management.
- Attend progress meetings and assist with site visits.
- Adhere to safety practices and policies as described in the GBRA safety manual.
- Comply with GBRA policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform other work as assigned.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Communicate effectively.
EDUCATION /CERTIFICATIONS
Education:
- Must be pursuing a degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Current valid driver's license and ability to remain insurable under GBRA’s vehicle liability policy.
EXPERIENCE
Past internship experience or Engineering coursework is a plus.
