Location: We are open to hybrid or remote candidates located in Utah, Idaho, and Kentucky. 

Stukent is looking for a Senior Writer and Editor to create and refine high-quality educational content for university and high school instructors and students. In this role, you’ll bring a critical eye to structure, clarity, and instructional design, ensuring our materials are both engaging and educationally effective.

You’ll collaborate across teams to develop simulations, courseware, and marketing content, while also mentoring junior writers and leading complex content projects.

Typical Job Duties 

• Collaborate with authors, subject matter experts, and the internal production team to develop engaging, instructionally sound simulations aligned with defined learning objectives
• Create educational resources for use in classrooms, simulations, textbooks, video case studies, and as lead-generating tools  
• Partner with project marketing managers to  develop compelling content and corporate communications 
• Collaborate with graphic designers to create meaningful images that support student learning
• Mentor and develop junior writers, providing guidance on content development and instructional best practices 
• Continuously improve content based on feedback, performance data, and evolving educational practices 
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, or Journalism or related field preferred
• Minimum of five years of professional writing experience, preferably in informational or educational content (experience with math and accounting is a plus, but not required)
• Strong portfolio of published work demonstrating writing and editing expertise 
• Proficiency in AP style and strong command of grammar, structure, and tone 
• Experience using AI tools to generate and refine content drafts 
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for organization, design, and consistency  
• Demonstrated expertise in both macro (developmental) and micro (copyediting) editing practices 
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or training junior writers 
• Knowledge of educational best practices and instructional design principles 
• Teaching or journalism experience is a plus
