What You’ll Do

  

As the Senior Project Manager – Technology & Data, you will lead coordination across enterprise technology and data workstreams supporting major statewide rural and public health transformation initiatives. You’ll serve as the bridge between initiative leaders and shared services teams, helping ensure that technology, data, cybersecurity, interoperability, and analytics are aligned from planning through implementation.


In this role, you will:

  • Represent Technology & Data Shared Services in cross-agency meetings, workgroups, and regional teams 
  • Partner with initiative leads and enterprise teams across IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, interoperability, and data/analytics 
  • Ensure technology and data needs are built into program planning, implementation, and governance 
  • Maintain work plans, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive status updates 
  • Support procurement activities, including RFPs, RFIs, vendor evaluation, and managed service engagements 
  • Help define technical, integration, interoperability, AI, and data requirements for vendors and partners 
  • Track technology-related budgets, expenditures, and compliance documentation 
  • Validate interoperability and integration requirements across platforms, including EMRs, HIE pipelines, telehealth, and referral systems 
  • Conduct readiness assessments, risk reviews, and mitigation planning for statewide technology deployments 
  • Partner with vendors and technical teams to resolve integration issues and ensure alignment with state standards 
  • Coordinate data requirements for reporting, privacy, governance, and outcome measurement 
  • Lead performance tracking and reporting across initiatives, including dashboards, milestones, outcomes, and key performance objectives
Requirements

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of progressive program or project management experience 
  • Experience supporting large, complex, multi-stakeholder technology programs 
  • Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional technical teams 
  • Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes, vendor coordination, and budget tracking 
  • Strong knowledge of PMO frameworks, governance, and change management 
  • Experience with health technology environments such as HIE, EHR/EMR, telehealth, and care coordination 
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, APIs, and system integration 
  • Familiarity with enterprise and cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, identity/access, and middleware 
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and secure data exchange, including HIPAA, GovRamp, and ADA 
  • Experience with data governance, reporting, business intelligence, and analytics environments 
  • Awareness of AI and predictive analytics, including ethical and governance considerations

Bonus Experience

  • Experience with statewide or federally funded programs 
  • Experience in rural health or public health initiatives 
  • Familiarity with interoperability programs or HIE expansion 
  • PMP or equivalent certification 
  • Experience with enterprise cloud and data modernization efforts 
  • Experience with vendor management and contractual compliance 
  • Exposure to AI governance in healthcare or public health 
  • Familiarity with change management for enterprise technology rollouts
