Human Resources Specialist

This role will focus on recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training coordination, and day-to-day HR support across a multi-state workforce with the support of an HR consultant. In addition, there will be some office administration duties assigned to this position. On site. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle recruiting for both California and Texas facilities.

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure all required employment documentation and orientation training are completed.

• Manage employee relations by serving as the first point of contact for employee questions and HR matters.

• Support managers and supervisors in addressing attendance issues, disciplinary documentation, employee leave matters, and workplace concerns.

• Maintain compliance with CA and TX employment laws by ensuring workplace postings, handbooks, training records, and personnel files are all up to date.

• Coordinate all required training programs with the HR consultant.

• Administer workers’ compensation and unemployment claims from intake through resolution.

• Maintain OSHA logs for annual reporting and support incident reporting and root cause analysis.

• Review and verify payroll time records for payroll processing.

• Coordinate annual benefit insurance renewals with the benefits broker.

• Provide administrative support for operations including ordering supplies and performing other assigned office administrative duties.


Requirements

  

  

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, along with 5+ years of human resources and office administration experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.

· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Salary Description
$28 to 32 an hour
