Position Overview
The Project Lead – Data Governance & Automation Delivery is responsible for driving execution of Power Platform–based data governance and automation initiatives within secure federal healthcare environments.
This role partners closely with the Technical Lead to ensure successful delivery of centralized data solutions and automation capabilities. This role owns execution, coordination, and delivery outcomes across cross-functional teams.
The Project Lead translates technical and governance objectives into actionable work plans, manages schedules and risks, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and ensures delivery meets quality, compliance, and timeline expectations.
This is a delivery-focused leadership role.

Core Responsibilities
Delivery Execution & Coordination
- Lead day-to-day execution of data governance and automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with technical direction provided by the Enterprise Data Engineering Lead.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including: Power Platform Developers, Data Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, QA and Governance stakeholders
- Ensure delivery of: Power Platform–enabled data intake and workflow solutions, automated data processing and documentation capabilities
Work Planning & Schedule Management
- Develop and manage detailed work plans, sprint cadences, and milestone tracking.
- Prioritize backlog items, manage dependencies, and ensure deliverables meet program timelines.
- Track progress against objectives and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
- Facilitate working sessions with government stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams.
- Translate stakeholder needs into actionable tasks and ensure alignment between expectations and delivery outputs.
- Maintain clear communication across all levels of the program.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify and manage risks related to schedule, scope, technical dependencies, and compliance.
- Coordinate with the technical lead to resolve technical blockers.
- Escalate issues as needed and drive timely resolution.
Quality & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria, governance standards, and federal security requirements.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain documentation for audit readiness, including workflow tracking and decision logs.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Provide day-to-day guidance to team members and promote accountability.
- Facilitate lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of junior staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience leading project delivery in data, technology, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Leading delivery of federal data, analytics, or digital modernization initiatives within secure, compliance-driven environments.
- Managing cross-functional technical teams through full delivery lifecycles, including planning, execution, testing, and release.
- Coordinating implementation of Power Platform or similar enterprise solutions, including workflow automation and data management capabilities.
- Driving structured project management practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder reporting.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), or federal healthcare environments.
- PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts, workflow automation, and enterprise data platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust or higher-level clearance.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
This position requires the employee to be a US Citizen and requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Work Environment:
Work will be done in an office setting/environment and will need to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment. The person in this role will need to have the ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time and occasionally will need to move about inside an office environment. This position frequently communicates with other employees and external stakeholders. The person needs to have the ability to accurately exchange information in these settings
