About Altvia

Altvia is the operating platform for private capital firms, purpose-built for fundraising, investor relations, and deal sourcing. We help GPs manage the full complexity of modern private markets: multiple strategies, multiple LP types, multiple fund structures, with the data foundation and workflow intelligence to scale as the business grows.

Our platform combines purpose-built workflow products, a governed data foundation, and AI embedded directly in the work. Hundreds of world-class firms and more than 100,000 LP investors worldwide trust Altvia to run their businesses. We have been building for this industry since 2006, and we are building faster now than at any point in our history.

Why Altvia, Why Now

Private capital is more operationally complex than it has ever been. Firms are managing more strategies, more LP types, and more regulatory obligations simultaneously. LPs have become more sophisticated and more demanding. Competition for capital is intensifying. And AI has raised the bar for what good operations look like, creating a widening gap between firms with modern infrastructure and those still running on systems that were designed for a simpler version of this business.

Altvia sits at the center of that shift. We are building the intelligence layer that makes GP teams faster, sharper, and more effective through workflow-native AI that activates the relationship data firms have already built, governed and explainable at every step. The market opportunity is large and the window to define the category is open. This is the right time to be building here.

About The Role

Altvia is seeking an Industry Product Manager with deep, hands-on experience in the private markets industry. This role is responsible for bringing authentic market understanding into product strategy, discovery, and execution.

The ideal candidate has direct experience with the types of firms, functions, and users Altvia serves and understands their workflows, pressures, priorities, and decision-making patterns. This person will help Altvia identify meaningful product opportunities, anticipate customer needs and objections, and translate industry requirements into clear guidance for technical product managers, designers, and engineering teams.

This is a highly cross-functional role that connects market insight with product development to ensure Altvia delivers solutions that are credible, useful, and aligned with real-world industry needs.

You will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the markets, firms, and user personas Altvia serves.
  • Bring deep understanding of client workflows, business pressures, and user behavior into product planning and prioritization.
  • Identify product opportunities based on genuine market needs, recurring friction points, and evolving industry trends.
  • Translate market requirements into clear product inputs for technical product managers, engineering, and design teams.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services to inform roadmap direction and feature development.
  • Help define user needs, use cases, adoption risks, and likely objections early in the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to product discovery, requirements development, and prioritization with a strong focus on market fit and customer value.
  • Ensure product direction reflects how target customers actually work, not just how software workflows are theoretically designed.
  • Support internal teams with persona-specific insight that strengthens positioning, customer conversations, and roadmap decisions.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Significant hands-on experience in one or more private markets segments relevant to Altvia, such as private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge funds, fund of funds, real assets, or private wealth.
  • Direct experience working in or closely with functions such as fundraising, investor relations, capital formation, deal sourcing, fund operations, or related workflows.
  • Strong understanding of the personas Altvia serves, including their goals, work habits, operational pressures, and success metrics.
  • Ability to identify and articulate real customer needs, workflow requirements, and market-driven product opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate industry insight into structured product guidance for technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business and technical functions.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to distinguish scalable product needs from one-off requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software platforms used in private markets, such as CRM, investor relations, fundraising, deal management, reporting, portal, or workflow tools.
  • Prior experience working with product, technology, or solution delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting or evaluating workflow modernization, automation, or AI-assisted tools in a professional environment.
  • Broad perspective across multiple private markets workflows or customer types.

Reporting and Collaboration

This role works closely with Product leadership and collaborates across Product Management, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services.
