Key Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
- Demonstrate a vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Lead and nurture a Christ-centered school culture grounded in biblical truth
- Support spiritual development of students and faculty through intentional discipleship
Academic Leadership
- Lead curriculum development, instructional excellence, and academic innovation
- Ensure a rigorous middle and high school academic program aligned with best practices
- Monitor student achievement and promote continuous improvement
Faculty Leadership & Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain mission-aligned faculty and staff
- Conduct evaluations and provide coaching for instructional growth
- Foster a collaborative and accountable professional culture
Student Life and Culture
- Oversee student conduct, culture, and leadership development
- Promote a positive, engaging, Christ-centered student experience
- Support co-curricular programs including athletics, arts, and student activities
Organizational Leadership
- Partner with Head of School on strategic initiatives
- Use data and feedback to inform decision-making and program development
- Maintain strong communication with students, families, and staff
Qualifications and Experience
- A clear and compelling testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
- Alignment with the mission, vision, and statement of faith of VCS
- Master’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus
- Significant experience in secondary school leadership
- Expertise in curriculum, instruction, and faculty development
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
