ROLE
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across the United States for our Photonics division. This is a technical sales role focused on developing and expanding key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth within strategic markets.
The role acts as the primary commercial and technical interface between customers and G&H’s engineering and manufacturing teams. Territory and account assignments will be defined based on business needs and candidate experience, providing flexibility to align coverage with growth priorities.
The ideal candidate combines strong photonics domain knowledge with commercial acumen and has a proven ability to develop business within complex, high-value technical environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers within assigned accounts and territory
- Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with division growth objectives
- Identify, qualify, and drive new business opportunities through the full sales lifecycle
- Provide technical sales support, including presentations, RFQ responses, and solution positioning
- Translate customer application requirements into technical specifications and commercial proposals
- Drive opportunities through G&H’s internal stage-gate process to successful closure
- Partner with product management and engineering teams to align on market needs, pricing, and product positioning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage pipeline, track opportunities, and provide accurate forecasting
- Represent G&H at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences
- Support post-sales engagement to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account growth
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field
- MBA or business qualification is a plus
- Proven experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or product marketing within photonics or related industries
- Strong understanding of relevant markets, including photonics, lasers, aerospace & defense, life sciences, and industrial applications
- Knowledge of technologies such as optics, lasers, crystal optics, electro-optics, or acousto-optics
- Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and key accounts
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and business judgment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Location: United States (flexible; proximity to key customer hubs preferred)
- Travel: Approximately 30–50% travel within the US and to G&H sites
- Work Environment: Remote / field-based with regular customer engagement
