About the Position:

Mountainside is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our residential treatment team, supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role offers a structured, team-based environment with the unique benefit of a 4-day workweek, allowing for greater flexibility and balance.

 

Schedule:

Full-Time: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, 4 days per week

* Option to structure schedule as a traditional 5-day workweek based on candidate preference 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management 
  • Prescribe and monitor medications, including MAT (buprenorphine, naltrexone) 
  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and medical leadership 
  • Support clients through stabilization and recovery 
  • Provide crisis intervention and coordinate higher levels of care when needed 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (PMHNP required) 
  • Active Connecticut APRN license 
  • DEA registration required 
  • Valid malpractice insurance policy required
  • Experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred

Compensation:

 

The base salary for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 per year.  Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
