Sherpa 6 is seeking a Recruiter to join our dynamic team and support company growth. The successful candidate will have a "can-do" attitude that thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Must have experience in the defense/government contracting arena. In this role, you will provide full life-cycle recruiting support to hiring managers- you will source and screen candidates. You will work closely with Recruiters, HRIS, Reporting and HR Support Teams. Our mission is to provide a positive end user experience for candidates, hiring managers, and the Talent Acquisition team. We're seeking someone who prides themselves in their customer service skills and abilities to partner with hiring managers to truly understand the needs of the program and scope of the job. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Recruiting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Interview, screen and evaluate candidates for job openings to identify applicants who fully meet the position requirements of posted requisitions.
- Consult with hiring managers to understand the job requisitions that accurately reflect the duties, responsibilities, education, training, certifications, experience and security level required for each position.
- Coordinate and actively participate in the selection of the final candidates.
- Provide regular status updates and audit reports on TA metrics.
- Research new careers, technologies, and/or alternate sources (Associations, niche job boards, MeetUps, LinkedIn groups, Handshake, etc. ) and sources job boards to find candidates with unique or cutting-edge experience.
- Make employment recommendations based on information developed through pre-screen interviews, applications, and resumes, ensuring the compensation offer is competitive, internally equitable, and affordable.
- Perform necessary administrative tasks including req posting, template creation, dashboard management, etc. quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure that Sherpa 6's applicants are dispositioned; internal candidates are dispositioned and contacted appropriately; and interview reports are completed accurately.
- 2-4 years of recruiting experience, preferably with a mix of in-house and staffing/agency recruiting
- Experience recruiting a wide variety of roles in IT (ie Software Developers, AI, Network Engineers)
- Experience creating targeted Boolean searches, using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ClearanceJobs, etc.
- Team-oriented so that you instinctively collaborate, foster relationships, and actively listen which enables you to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Extremely detail-oriented and great with documentation and record-keeping
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and M365
- Must be a US citizen
- Must pass a background check and drug screening

- Strong technical aptitude
- Experience providing staffing support to DoD programs
- Ability to utilize various talent platforms and networking
