Occupational Medicine - Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Status Hours: Full-time, 60 hours bi-weekly
Shift: 1st Shift, Some flexibility with start times/days (may include a rare Saturday)
Job Summary:
Join our Occupational Medicine team to provide essential healthcare services. In this role, you will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Occupational Medicine Provider. You will support employee wellness initiatives, illness tracking, and yearly training/testing for Fulton County Health Center employees. Additionally, you will play a critical role in Infection Control, including tracking, reporting, and follow-up care for employees and patients. This position also involves performing drug screenings and obtaining bloodwork for both employees and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Medicine Provider during patient examinations and treatments.
- Support employee wellness programs, including tracking illnesses and coordinating annual training and testing.
- Assist with Infection Control activities such as tracking, reporting, and conducting follow-up with employees and patients.
- Perform drug screenings, breath alcohol testing, and collect blood samples as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and employee health records.
- Train or obtain certifications to conduct audiometry testing, respirator fit testing, and other specialized tasks.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Ability to train or obtain certifications for audiometry testing, respirator fit testing, drug screening, and breath alcohol testing.
