Summary of Role:

Saco Valley Credit Union, a 2025 Best Place to Work in ME, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join our team as Vice President of Marketing and Digital Services. This senior leadership role is instrumental in strengthening our competitive position, driving member engagement, and delivering a seamless, member-centric digital experience. The Vice President of Marketing and Digital Services leads a small but impactful marketing team, manages the Credit Union’s digital banking platforms (online and mobile), and oversees strategic project planning and implementation of new products, services, and software, presenting key updates and insights to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.


Work Location:

Saco and Waterboro, ME; hybrid eligible with weekly on-site presence after onboarding.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead marketing and business development initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead one marketing staff member, fostering a collaborative, creative, and performance-driven team environment.
  • Analyze marketing performance and engagement metrics, conduct market research, and recommend product and service improvements.
  • Oversee online and mobile banking platforms, collaborating with vendors and identifying fintech opportunities to enhance digital capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, including technology, product, and vendor implementations.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field required (Master’s preferred).
  • 7-10 years of progressive marketing experience required; financial institution experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with project management or digital banking platforms strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proven ability to lead marketing strategy, cross-functional projects, and deliver measurable results.
  • Working knowledge of digital banking platforms, fintech trends, and member experience best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

This position primarily operates in an office environment and may require:

  • Prolonged periods of working at a computer and remaining in a stationary position.
  • Frequently moving about the office and between company locations.
  • Travel to various locations, typically within the State of Maine.
