The Role

The Director of Growth Marketing at True North will serve as a strategic marketing leader, responsible for defining and guiding the company's comprehensive marketing strategy. This role is focused on building True North’s brand equity and developing scalable new lead generation strategies. This individual will be an experienced, strategic thinker with a proven track record of setting up successful marketing strategies and leading B2B or ABM initiatives. You will act as the marketing champion, helping to shape True North's strategic narrative and positioning across all channels and sales enablement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy: Define, own, and continually refine the company's long-term marketing strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with C-suite business objectives and sales targets.
  • Brand & Strategic Alignment: Work collaboratively with the CEO to continually shape True North brand, supporting the setting of strategic direction for consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across all platforms and client touchpoints.
  • Digital Strategy Oversight & Execution: Provide oversight and strategic direction for all digital marketing channels, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and content strategy to maximize brand visibility and lead generation architecture. Ability to set paid media plans and budgets, and navigate in platform execution. 
  • Campaign Strategy: Lead the strategic vision for innovative and effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels, with a focus on achieving measurable business outcomes and optimizing conversion paths.
  • Data & Analytics Strategy: Champion a data-driven culture by advising on the utilization of data analytics, market research, and customer insights to measure performance, inform strategy, and identify growth opportunities. Oversee the reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team.
  • Collaboration: Drive rigorous alignment between Marketing and Sales on external-facing communication, leading the standardization of core sales enablement materials, including proposal decks, and capabilities overviews.
  • Market Intelligence & Partnerships: Stay ahead of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging marketing technologies. Identify and negotiate strategic co-branded marketing opportunities and potential referral pathways with adjacent healthcare tool and solution providers.
  • Conference and Tradeshow Strategy: Plan True North’s tradeshow footprint, and manage speaking submissions and networking that are necessary to build the agency's presence at key industry events. 
  • CRM Strategy: Advise sales leadership on leveraging and optimizing the Hubspot CRM for marketing impact reporting and supporting the strategic evolution of business reporting needs.
  • Content Curation and Creation: Excellent ability to guide creative partners in development marketing collateral, and ability to write content as needed for thought leadership, paid advertising, blogs, and potentially other needs. 
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years of senior-level experience with a focus on B2B marketing within the healthcare vertical. 
  • Proven success in developing and leading strategic marketing functions that resulted in significant business growth, ideally in a B2B or agency environment.
  • Strong expertise in the full-funnel of marketing, from brand strategy to digital execution, with a focus on scalable systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in a consulting or fractional capacity, providing high-level strategic advisory and mentorship.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a talent for interpreting complex business data and translating insights into clear, actionable executive strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of influencing C-suite stakeholders.
  • A strategic thought leader with a passion for brand storytelling and a bias for action and results.
  • Proficient in leveraging marketing automation and CRM software for strategic oversight (HubSpot preferred).
