Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 5-7+ years of accounting experience to join a growing team in West Hollywood. The ideal candidate will have a background in the service industry, consumer products industry or manufacturing, strong experience with month-end close, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting core accounting functions, including reimbursements, accruals, and general ledger activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications
- Maintain and manage fixed asset schedules, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to support financial reporting
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounting
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and financial accuracy
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–7+ years of accounting experience
- Experience in the service industry, consumer products industry or manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general ledger processes
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- CPA or CPA-track a plus (not a must)
- Experience with reimbursements and disbursements
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume accounting environment
Compensation:
$80,000 - $85,000 per year
