The EPIC Senior Accountant we are looking for:    Reporting to the Controller, you will support a multi-entity month-end close by owning key reconciliations, preparing journal entries and accruals, and producing accurate, timely financial reporting. You will drive issue resolution, maintain strong documentation, and continuously improve accounting processes and systems. 


As a Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Support the Controller with daily, weekly, and month-end accounting activities
  • Reconcile bank accounts weekly and monthly across multiple entities
  • Prepare and post journal entries and month-end accruals
  • Maintain supporting schedules and close workpapers to support month-end close
  • Assist with preparing and publishing the monthly financial statements
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and drive resolution of open items
  • Track intercompany balances, complete reconciliations, and support settlements across entities
  • Support cash flow planning and contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities
  • Respond to document requests from auditors, tax preparers, and investors with accurate, well-organized support
  • Improve accounting procedures, policies, and systems by identifying gaps and implementing enhancements
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and large-data analysis)
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and recordkeeping skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Able to analyze large data sets to identify and explain accounting and reporting variances
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and be self-motivated 
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • CPA license or active pursuit (e.g., at least two exams passed)
  • Big 4 or national audit firm experience
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or lending
  • Multi-entity accounting experience (intercompany activity and consolidated reporting a plus)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced close environment with shifting priorities
  • Growth mindset and desire to take on increasing responsibility as the company scales

Salary Description
$85,000-$125,000, dependent on experience.
