Job purpose

As an Email Specialist, you’ll be part of an award-winning team with “hands-on” responsibility for designing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital ads, social, print, and email for internal projects and for the Strategic Marketing Services (SMS) Team’s clients. You will support the team with strategic planning and content development and be a part of the production process. A bundled solution, our Strategic Marketing Services team provides a value-added marketing consultancy centered on the effective use of data to improve campaign ROI. 

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while consistently demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness. It requires the ability to work cooperatively with multiple, in-house departments to champion the needs of your customer(s). While this position offers a set schedule of Monday– Friday, 8am to 5pm, it also requires flexibility to change schedules or work overtime as needed during projects or campaigns that may require it. This position requires you to complete HIPAA certification and demonstrate full comprehension of the importance of protecting client information. Additionally, this position requires you to be open to presenting creative ideas, accepting feedback, and being comfortable in a team environment. Ongoing training is given for industry and tech specific tools. Polaris Direct has a great entrepreneurial environment that fosters growth and advancement. 

Requirements

Duties and responsibilities

  •     Collaborate on designs and concept creation for various media applications and platforms, both traditional and digital
  •     Respond to creative briefs and determine creative strategy and approach
  •     Present creative ideas internally and to clients
  •     Develop layouts, illustrations, logos and other designs using software tools or by hand
  •     Utilize brand guidelines
  •     Work with copywriters and creative personnel to design and implement campaigns
  •     Create and execute graphic design for various media platforms
  •     Utilize constructive feedback to incorporate revisions during the drafting process
  •     Participate in the proofing process for all materials and ensure they are on-brand
  •     Set up and manage digital integration platform

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with the ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field
  • 3-5 years of design experience / a portfolio of work to showcase your experience
  • Portfolio of illustrations or other creative work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Keen eye for aesthetics and detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with video, animation software, and/or HTML is a plus
  • Ability to meet project timelines, while balancing multiple design projects at once
  • Flexibility to switch between projects or pivot quickly 
  • Knowledge of print & software/tools such as Google Analytics, WordPress, Canva, Email Marketing Platforms (HubSpot), Social Media Management Tools, Asana, etc. is a plus
