Swickard Honda of Gladstone, part of Swickard Automotive Group, is hiring an experienced Flat Rate Service Technician to join our high-performing team. We're a busy Honda dealership with a fantastic culture and high standards — and we're looking for a hardworking technician who takes pride in quality work and wants to keep growing in their craft.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Honda vehicles to OEM specifications
- Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs with precision and documentation discipline
- Communicate clearly with advisors and shop leadership to keep work flowing
- Protect guest safety and trust through quality control and comeback prevention
- Maintain a clean, organized bay consistent with Honda standards
- Perform test drives to evaluate vehicle performance and diagnose issues
- Research technical information and consult colleagues or service manuals to solve complex problems
- Recommend preventative maintenance services to customers
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment within the service department
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
- Experience: 3+ years of dealership or shop technician experience (Honda or Japanese/mainstream brand preferred)
- Certifications: Clean driving record and valid driver's license. ASE certifications and/or Honda Factory Training are a plus
- Commitment to quality, integrity, and guest care
- Hardworking, self-motivated, and eager to continue growing as a technician
- Steady communication with advisors, dispatch, and shop foreman
- Strong diagnostic and electrical skills; ability to follow OEM procedures
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Manual dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
