Job Title: Sales & Customer Success Summer Intern
Team: Sales & Customer Success
Duration: Beginning June 8, 2026 and running for 8-10 Weeks (Summer 2026)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
About the Role
Guideline is looking for a currently enrolled rising sophomore, junior or senior college student for a Sales & Customer Success Summer Internship. This role will support our go-to-market team across a variety of operational, analytical, and client-facing initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Sales and Customer Success providing hands-on exposure to how SaaS companies manage customer relationships, sales pipelines, and revenue growth.
The intern will help maintain internal systems, support sales prospecting efforts, assist with client account monitoring, and contribute to projects that improve how our revenue teams operate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in sales, startups, SaaS, consulting, or revenue strategy to gain real-world experience working with both prospective and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting Support:
- Research target companies and identify relevant decision-makers across marketing, media, and procurement teams.
- Build prospect lists that support outbound sales campaigns.
- Assist with preparing messaging for cold email and LinkedIn prospecting.
- Conduct light market research to identify companies that could benefit from Guideline's product suite.
Reporting:
- Monitor database usage across client accounts to identify organizations approaching license limits or increased engagement.
- Flag potential upsell, renewal, or expansion opportunities for the Sales and Customer Success teams.
- Support account health tracking and help ensure customers are maximizing value from the platform.
CRM Management & Data Quality:
- Maintain the accuracy and cleanliness of the company CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Remove outdated contacts, correct invalid emails, and ensure company records remain up to date.
- Assist with organizing sales pipeline data, updating opportunity records, and improving CRM reporting.
Sales Pipeline Support
- Help track deal progress across the sales pipeline and ensure records remain organized.
- Support sales reps in preparing materials for meetings, demos, and follow-ups.
- Assist with organizing notes and insights from sales calls to ensure proper documentation.
Customer Success & Client Coordination
- Assist with internal preparation for client meetings, renewals, and performance reviews.
- Help coordinate internal follow-ups and ensure action items from client conversations are tracked.

Compensation:
