The Hilton Austin Airport is seeking a Housekeeping Houseman to join our dedicated housekeeping team. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall guest experience throughout the hotel.


Who We Are

The recently refreshed Hilton Austin Airport is located in the historic Air Force Command building directly on Austin-Bergstrom International Airport property. We are proud to be Austin’s gateway full-service hotel.

The hotel is managed by Prospera Hospitality, a Pittsburgh, PA–based management company with over 20 years of experience operating hotels, restaurants, and convention centers. Prospera Hospitality is known for creating service-driven cultures where team members can learn, grow, and succeed.


Position Summary

The Housekeeping Houseman plays a key support role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the hotel. This position assists housekeeping staff by stocking supplies, maintaining public areas, handling linens, and ensuring guest rooms and service areas are clean and ready to meet brand standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically active, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and back-of-house areas.
  • Assist housekeeping attendants by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to      guest floors.
  • Collect and transport soiled linens to the laundry area.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from guest floors and service areas.
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping and guest service requests.
  • Clean and maintain storage rooms, housekeeping carts, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to management.
  • Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and health standards at all times.
  • Support hotel operations as needed during peak occupancy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous hotel or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Professional attitude and positive customer service mindset.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors.

Schedule

  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
  • You may be required to work day or evening shifts.
