GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Associate Financial Analyst supports the assessment and analysis of financial data to help the organization make informed business decisions. This role involves assisting with the review of past and current financial performance, contributing to forecasting efforts, and supporting the development of financial models. The Associate Financial Analyst also helps provide insights related to budgeting, cost management, and overall financial performance.

This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals, offering the opportunity to build foundational finance skills while supporting financial reporting, analysis, and operational processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following: 

· Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, dashboards, and supporting schedules

· Support data collection, validation, and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and reconcile financial and operational data

· Assist with aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes (e.g., journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis)

· Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement

· Research and resolve data discrepancies or accounting-related questions

· Support budgeting and forecasting activities through data preparation and analysis

· Contribute ideas to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and cost management

· May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

· 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects in finance or accounting strongly encouraged)

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

· Basic understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

· Familiarity with financial systems or data tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, Adaptive Insights) is a plus but not required

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
