DRAFTER I
Description

InCord has an opening for a detailed-oriented Drafter I. The Drafter I will be responsible for supporting the Technical Services Team within a fast-paced safety net manufacturing environment, including but not limited to project engineers, designers, drafters, and R&D Process Engineer to develop 2/3D cad models from concept through detailed drawings, along with necessary documentation & bill of materials. The Drafter I will also aid Technical Services team members with completing tasks in support of Operations and Sales departments in a timely manner to provide service to InCord customers that exceeds expectations.

Requirements
  • Create, update and modify drawings in both SolidWorks, DraftSight, and Revu BlueBeam. 
  • Understand and adhere to company drafting and design standards, as well as relevant ANSI standards.
  • Interpret complex mechanical/textile technical drawings provided by technical services/outside firms.
  • Communicate closely and effectively with all members of the project team. 
  • Share applicable technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical design within the company.
  • Collaborate with drafters, engineers, production technicians, and sales support staff as necessary to identify design problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Create production drawings from 3D design models and 2D technical drawings created by technical services. 
  • Collaborate with drafting and design team to ensure consistency of original drawings and related documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  •   Minimum High school degree, AS degree in Engineering Science preferred.
  • Working familiarity with SolidWorks and DraftSight or, equivalent software for 2D drafting and 3D design modeling, or equivalent industrial experience desired.
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Suite. Experience using Visual Basic to automate data processing and analysis a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as a team. 
  • Experience in 2-D and 3-D drafting is a plus.
  • Accuracy in work and attention to detail. 
  • Good organizational skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Salary Description
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
