The Role - What A Day In The Life Looks Like:
As an Energy Marketing & Logistics Representative, you’ll be a vital link between our customers and suppliers, ensuring seamless inventory management and logistical coordination. Your responsibilities will include managing customer inventories, processing call-in orders, and leveraging market insights to make informed buying decisions. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy problem-solving, excel at multitasking, and are driven to grow relationships and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Receive and manage daily fuel inventory levels at assigned customer locations
- Schedule and coordinate fuel deliveries, balancing inventory needs, market conditions, and freight availability
- Work with common carriers and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery execution
Fuel Dispatch
- Take customer orders via phone, email, or text
- Identify optimal supply terminals based on pricing, availability, and delivery windows
- Secure transportation and monitor deliveries through completion
Pricing & Market Analysis
- Collect daily supplier pricing, discounts, and market intelligence
- Set up and maintain customer pricing sheets, including rack, freight, taxes, and margin
- Monitor market movements and flag pricing or supply risks and opportunities
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Resolve service issues with a solutions-oriented approach
- Participate in customer meetings to develop consultative communication skills
Commercial Development & Growth Support
- Assist with onboarding new customer accounts and coordinating setup activities
- Analyze volume, margin, and performance trends for existing customers
- Support sales and marketing initiatives through data analysis and market research
Qualifications - What You Bring To The Table:
- Associate's degree in a business-related field
- 1–2 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective team collaboration skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in an on-call rotation (nights and weekends)
