The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring strong relationships, successful software implementation, and long-term client satisfaction. This role works closely with clients to understand their business objectives, workflows, and operational challenges in order to maximize the value of the platform.
The Account Manager leads onboarding and implementation activities, manages project timelines, coordinates cross-functional teams, and identifies opportunities to improve client workflows. This position also represents the voice of the customer internally by sharing insights that support product improvements and market positioning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and relationship management.
- Lead new client onboarding and implementations, including kickoff calls and implementation meetings.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and documentation while communicating progress, risks, and next steps.
- Coordinate implementation tasks and system integrations, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
- Provide regular status updates to clients, vendors, and internal teams including integration and development teams.
- Conduct ongoing client check-ins, training sessions, and business reviews to support long-term success.
- Identify workflow optimization opportunities and communicate product enhancement ideas based on client feedback.
- Collaborate with product, development, and sales teams to improve solutions and refine product positioning.
- Troubleshoot product issues, document bugs or concerns, and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare workflows, regulatory considerations, and industry trends relevant to the platform.
Qualifications:
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Client Services, or Implementation roles within healthcare, healthcare technology, or SaaS environments.
- Experience managing client relationships and serving as a primary point of contact for accounts.
- Experience coordinating software implementations or onboarding projects.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a client-first mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook.
Preferred
- Experience working with hospitals, health systems, or healthcare supply chain environments.
- Experience with SaaS implementations or healthcare technology deployments.
- Experience managing enterprise or corporate accounts.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn software platforms.
