Position: Senior Business Analyst

Summary - We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead data transformation, analysis, and business intelligence development across a variety of internal and external data sources. This role focuses on taking raw data and transforming it into clean, analysis-ready datasets, compelling visualizations, and actionable insights for stakeholders across the business.
While Domo experience is a major advantage, strong BI and data transformation skills on any modern platform are welcome.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Transformation & ETL
- Intake data from multiple sources and apply structured transformation processes to make it clean, consistent, and analysis-ready.
- Apply ETL tools and transformation logic to clean, reshape, join, and enrich datasets in ways that go beyond standard SQL queries.
- Shape and standardize structured and unstructured datasets for downstream reporting and visualization.
- Validate data quality, identify gaps or inconsistencies in source data, and implement corrective transformations.
Analytics & Insights
- Dig deep into transformed datasets to surface meaningful trends, anomalies, and business opportunities that are not immediately visible.
- Translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable outputs.
- Build automated reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Statistical methods or modeling experience is helpful but not required.
Business Intelligence Development
- Build polished, insight-driven dashboards and reports that clearly communicate findings to business stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, user-friendly BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business partners to align requirements and solutions.
Data Access & Querying
- Navigate and query AWS data environments, specifically Redshift.
- Write complex, efficient SQL for analysis and data preparation.
Collaboration
- Act as a subject-matter expert on data tools, analysis methods, and best practices.
- Partner across technical and business teams to improve data quality, processes, and insights
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 5–7+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, or related technical roles.
- Strong expertise in SQL and working with relational data systems (AWS/Redshift preferred).
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data transformation processes; ability to reshape and enrich data outside of SQL. Domo experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Experience in financial services or financial data environments preferred
- Experience collaborating with off-shore or distributed teams is a plus
- Python and/or R experience is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
Compensation Range
- $110 - $135k | Depending on experience and location
