Venture Forthe is seeking a dynamic Security & Operations Specialist to help ensure the safety, stability, and operational excellence of our multi-site organization. This role is ideal for someone with a security, safety, or operational background who is confident in de-escalating situations, thinking on their feet, and supporting teams in real time.

Location and Travel
This position is based in Rochester, NY with travel up to 25% to Syracuse and Binghamton to support operational consistency and on-site needs.
What You'll Do
· Serve as a first point of support for workplace safety concerns, incidents, and urgent operational needs
· Respond to and help de-escalate challenging situations involving staff, clients, or visitors with professionalism and sound judgment
· Support incident response, documentation, and follow-up in partnership with appropriate departments
· Monitor and reinforce adherence to safety protocols, policies, and compliance standards
· Conduct on-site safety walkthroughs and identify potential risks or areas for improvement
· Assist in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans and procedures
· Support day-to-day operational needs across departments to ensure smooth workflows
· Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical, scalable process improvements
· Assist with onboarding logistics including workspace readiness, equipment coordination, and access setup
· Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and compliance records
· Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related needs across Eastern offices, including Rochester, Syracuse, and Binghamton
· Travel to regional offices to provide hands-on operational and safety support
Work Environment
This role involves a mix of office-based work and travel between locations. The position may require flexibility in schedule based on operational needs and occasional urgent situations that require immediate response.

What You'll Bring
• Experience in security, safety, operations, law enforcement, military, healthcare support, or a related field preferred
• Confidence and demonstrated ability to de-escalate tense or sensitive situations calmly and effectively
• Strong situational awareness and sound judgment under pressure
• Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion in high-stress or confidential situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
