As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a strategic, revenue-driven sales leader to expand our brand partnerships and drive new business growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a VP of Influencer Marketing and Client Services who lives at the intersection of culture, commerce, and the creator economy. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has built and scaled performance-driven influencer programs at a top-tier agency or influencer marketing company and understands that the future of the discipline sits at the convergence of authentic creator relationships, AI-powered intelligence, and measurable business outcomes.

You know how to close business, how to retain clients, and how to develop the kind of creator partnerships that drive real results, not just impressions. You have a point of view on where influencer marketing is going, and you know how to bring clients and teams along with you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Influencer & Creator Strategy
- Lead the development of full-funnel, performance-driven influencer marketing strategies across paid, earned, and owned channels from awareness to conversion.
- Build and own creator GTM frameworks that align influencer activations with broader brand strategy, product launches, and cultural moments.
- Define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and optimization protocols that connect influencer activity to business outcomes, reach, engagement, traffic, and revenue.
- Maintain a forward-looking POV on the creator economy, platform shifts, emerging talent categories, new monetization models, to then further translate that intelligence into actionable client recommendations.
- Integrate AI-powered tools into influencer strategy and workflow including audience modeling, creator vetting, content performance prediction, and campaign optimization.
Client Services & Brand Counsel
- Serve as a senior strategic partner and primary point of contact for key client accounts owning the relationship, the strategic roadmap, and the business outcomes.
- Counsel brand clients on influencer and creator strategy, market positioning, talent selection, and risk, while acting as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor.
- Lead client presentations, quarterly business reviews, and strategic planning sessions with confidence and authority.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through expanded scopes, new capabilities, and cross-network collaboration.
- Translate complex data and campaign performance into clear, compelling narratives that reinforce the value of the work and drive client confidence.
Creator Partnerships & Marketplace Expertise
- Bring an existing, active network of creator relationships across tiers from nano, micro, mid, macro, and celebrity — across lifestyle, culture, tech, gaming, fashion, beauty, food, and entertainment verticals.
- Oversee creator identification, vetting, negotiation, contracting, and relationship management; ensuring alignment with brand values, audience fit, and campaign objectives.
- Deep knowledge of the creator marketplace landscape on various platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Substack, emerging), talent management structures, rate benchmarks, exclusivity norms, and FTC compliance requirements.
- Manage creator performance and content quality, providing real-time feedback and optimization guidance throughout campaigns.
AI Integration & Performance Intelligence
- Champion the use of AI-powered tools and platforms across influencer workflow from synthetic audience modeling and creator discovery to content analysis and predictive performance scoring.
- Partner with the AI and data teams to build proprietary intelligence capabilities that give clients a competitive advantage in how they identify, activate, and measure creator partnerships.
- Stay ahead of how generative AI is reshaping content creation, creator economics, and brand-creator collaboration, and further develop frameworks that help clients navigate it strategically.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of influencer marketing strategists, managers, and coordinators simultaneously building a high-performance culture grounded in creative rigor and analytical accountability.
- Establish team processes, workflow systems, and quality standards that scale with client growth and business complexity.
- Foster an environment where emerging talent is developed, ambitious ideas are tested, and results are celebrated.
Budget & Business Management
- Manage campaign budgets across multiple client accounts; ensuring smart, strategic allocation of influencer spend with clear ROI accountability.
- Support new business development, including pitch strategy, capability storytelling, and competitive positioning.
- Partner with finance and operations to track pacing, profitability, and resource allocation across the practice.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8–12 years of experience in influencer marketing, creator strategy, or brand partnerships with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role at an agency, influencer marketing company, or creator economy platform.
- Deep familiarity with the influencer and creator marketplace: how it works, who the players are, how deals are structured, and where it is heading.
- Proven track record of building and scaling performance influencer programs that deliver measurable business results, not just vanity metrics.
- An existing creator network and strong relationships with talent managers, agencies, and platform partnerships.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools applied to influencer marketing, audience modeling, creator analytics, content performance, or similar.
- Exceptional client management and communication skills: comfortable presenting to C-suite, navigating difficult conversations, and building long-term trust.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and translate insights into strategy.
- Fluency across major and emerging social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Substack, and what comes next.
- Experience in performance influencer marketing (affiliate, paid amplification, whitelisting, dark posting, and creator-led commerce).
- A genuine passion for culture, creators, and the evolving relationship between brands and audiences.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience at a recognized influencer marketing company such as Influential, Viral Nation, Whalar, Open Influence, or similar.
- Background working across multiple brand categories such as tech, CPG, fashion, entertainment, food and beverage, or gaming.
- Experience building or scaling an influencer practice within a larger marketing or communications network.
- Familiarity with creator commerce, TikTok Shop, and the convergence of influencer and performance marketing.
