Description
The Program Director is responsible for overall contract performance, staff supervision, and daily operations of a 24/7 monitoring and support program serving homeless Veterans in a transitional tiny shelter community. This role ensures compliance with VA requirements, maintains service quality, and oversees all personnel and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall program management and oversight
- Supervise Lead Monitors and Monitor staff across all shifts
- Ensure 24/7 operational coverage and staffing
- Serve as primary point of contact with VA COR and stakeholders
- Oversee:
- Daily Activity Reports (DARs)
- Incident reporting
- Staffing schedules and coverage
- Ensure compliance with:
- VA policies
- Safety protocols
- Contract requirements
- Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and coaching
- Monitor quality assurance and implement improvements
- Manage conflict resolution and escalation issues
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 3–5+ years of program or operations management
- Experience supervising staff in 24/7 environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with homeless services, social services, or security operations (preferred)
- Requirements
- Must work onsite (no remote)
- Ability to manage high-pressure environments
