 Join Community of Hope as a Patient Billing Data Analytics Coordinator! in this role, you will maintains and creates useful financial data analytics to increase cash collections & reduce the number of patient billing (A/R) days. You will ensures historical data is used for reviewing patient billing trends, reviewing billing risk, and billing forecasting with the expectation of enhancing billing performance through the utilization of data analytics. What You’ll Do

  • Provides continual data analytics for operational support to assist the department with achieving department goals.  
  • Creates and maintains Dashboards to identify and monitor weekly and monthly progress in A/R days, Cash, denials, charges and provider trends. 
  • Leads the Billing department team in projects to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness, including identifying issues in eCW, billing issues, provider coding issues, and credentialing issues. Oversees and follows up with the completion of these kinds of projects as needed. 
  • Stays up to date with FQHC requirements per billing, coding and credentialing. Monitors new requirements and regulations to ensure that Community of Hope policies and procedures are in compliance.   
  • Works in collaboration with the Patient Billing Manager and Patient Billing Director by the 5th business day of the current month for previous month close, to produce timely month end reports for the department and VP of Finance & Operations. 
  • Identifies data trends, gaps and patterns with payer payments weekly according to contracts. 
  • Assists Patient Billing Manager with detailed semi-monthly productivity audits for the team and provides written feedback on audit tool.  
  • Ensure that monthly suspend report from DC Medicaid is reviewed and worked weekly to correct any issues and provides written report to Patient Billing Manager of findings monthly. 
  • Conducts detailed quarterly billing charge audits for all payers and provides a detailed report to Director. 
  • Ensures insurance mapping for UDS in BridgeIT is updated monthly. 
Requirements

Must-Haves 

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or 5 years’ experience in lieu of degree required. ?  
  • Healthcare experience required.   
  • Project management experience required. 
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics required.  
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Able to work in team office setting atmosphere. 
  • Extremely detailed oriented. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel able to perform macros, VLOOKUP, SQL and pivot tables.  
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Access database program. 
  • Able to prioritize and simultaneously manage all daily tasks. 

Nice-to-Haves 

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience strongly preferred.   
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, CPT code and eCW software strongly preferred
  • DC Medicaid & Medicare billing experience strongly preferred.
