Senior Marine Electronics Engineer - ExCOMMS at CG Headquarters in Washington, DC.
• Develops and integrates systems involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information processing, navigation and defense applications.
• Intimately familiar with HF, VHF and UHF systems utilized by the US Navy and US Coast Guard on maritime platforms and how they integrate into combat and SCIF systems.
Physical Job Requirements
Mix of desk/computer work in an office environment and periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve repetitive motion, traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.
Education/Certification Requirements
• BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
• Minimum of 8 years’ documented experience developing and integrating systems
involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor
processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information
processing, navigation and defense applications.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required.
• Excellent Oral, Written and Presentation skills.
• Time Management and Organization skills.
• Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and provide examples of written correspondence.
• Candidate must possess an active or be eligible for Secret clearance.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
